BOEING 787 DREAMLINER ARRIVES IN SYDNEY FOR FIRST TIME

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner touched down in Sydney this morning on its very first trip to Australia.

Boeing has orders for more than 800 787 Dreamliners from more than 50 airlines around the world, including 50 for Qantas and Jetstar.

The revolutionary aircraft is built from mainly composite materials and offers airlines lower operating costs, including 20 per cent greater fuel efficiency and great cargo capacity, along with superior environmental performance with 20 per cent lower CO2 emissions and a quieter performance (60 per cent less than comparable sized planes). Passengers will enjoy a superior flying experience with greater levels of humidity in the cabin, cleaner air, large dimmable windows and a smoother, quieter ride.
